Blurbs Galore!

Depending on your level of computer knowledge you may have pre-conceived ideas of what multimedia software is. Some people consider it to be something that lets them watch video or listen to music on their computer. Others consider it to be editing software that allows them to create and edit home movies. In actual fact, it is a very broad term. Media is actually any form of communication. Even when you read a newspaper you are using the media to gain information. So in terms of computers we use the phrase ‘multimedia’ to describe all manner of electronic communication. This could be in the form of advertising or music and could encompass anything from 3D Animation Programs to Digital Recording Software. The sky’s the limit. Actually, if you really think about it the computer is nothing more than a media tool. practically everything we do (with perhaps the exception of playing games) involves using some form of multimedia software.
